238 Indonesians from Wuhan Observed in Natuna, What to Do?

A total of 238 Indonesian citizens from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, will be observed in Natuna. What to do?

Secretary of the Directorate General of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) of the Ministry of Health Dr. Achmad Yurianto said that no special treatment would be carried out on the Indonesian citizen.

“There is no (special), normal, they are healthy people. We only observed for 14 days,” he told AFP.

He explained that this observation only ensured that during the 14 days 238 Indonesian citizens who had just arrived from Wuhan were not sick.

“That is to ensure that in one incubation cycle that we are 14 days, they do not become sick. So it is really clear that they are not sick and are certified not to carry disease,” he added.

The government also ensures that observation areas provide adequate facilities for Indonesian citizens while they undergo observation.

“They are just happy to be made. Because psychologically they are afraid, afraid they are thought to be sick, so they are just happy,” he said.

As is known, there are 238 Indonesian citizens who were evacuated from Wuhan, Hubei Province, China, after the Corona virus outbreak. Meanwhile, 5 personnel from the Indonesian Embassy in Beijing assisted the evacuation process.

“The final number of boarding from Wuhan Airport, 238 ex-Hubei Province and 5 Aju Teams (advance, red) of the Indonesian Embassy,” said Presidential Spokesman Fadjroel Rachman via text message on Sunday (2/2).
